All of the information – and more – that was in the Herefordshire Pub-Finder has been absorbed into CAMRA’s national on-line pub guide What Pub, which is now freely available to members and non-members alike. Every one of our pubs is there, whether open or temporarily closed, plus various other real ale outlets.
Help us keep it up to date!
We are very keen to maintain the accuracy of our information particularly in regard to pub opening times. Please send updates using the feedback form shown on each pub listing. Alternatively direct to our Pubs Officer.
Meanwhile, if you would prefer to carry a book with you, our local Pub Guide Herefordshire Pubs is still available. See below.
Herefordshire Pubs: Another Award Winner!
Every pub in Herefordshire
The third edition of Herefordshire Pubs was published by Herefordshire CAMRA in 2011. Just like the previous two editions it won the CAMRA award for best local guide of the year, although this time the award was shared with the Oxford Abingdon and Witney guide. Copies are still available.
In full colour throughout, Herefordshire Pubs covers every pub in the county, but reserves full write-ups for those pubs (thankfully, the vast majority) that sell real ale and cider. Lavishly illustrated, with some fantastic pictures of our most unspoiled pubs, it also has a number of interesting articles to read on topics from the threat to our pubs to the rise of the microbrewery and the history of cider. It also offers the reader a quick reference guide for selecting pubs for that certain occasion: pubs suitable for families; those with gardens; those that sell farmhouse cider or foreign cuisine; riverside pubs and many more. It’s everything you need to be able to explore the richness and variety of the county’s pubs at your leisure.
